Letter To The Newly Elected President, Gen. Muh Buhari *[Must Read]

AS THE WIND OF CHANGE BLOWS IN

All over the nation, music, chants and drums of celebration can be heard. As the countdown begins, the swear-in ceremony is the next agenda on our minds.

Come May 29th, a new revolution begins, The dawn of change, and, as expected by most Nigerians, the dusk of bad Governance in the country.

Indeed it is in God, through the APC and President Muhammad Buhari, we hold this trust. After all, we Nigerians have played our part, by massively turning out to cast out votes, Holding our pen and paper; actively following the mathematics and anticipating every minute of the result. We definitely have tried our best in ousting the PDP, the ruling party since 1999 and with commitment to our future we ended the 16 year reign.

The task of effecting the wanted change and rebuilding the nation now falls to the President elect and his cabinet, and you can’t blame the average Nigerian for expecting so much from the newly elected Government.

Any well observing eye can point out all the sectors of the nation that needs the wind of change, a brief lay down of expectations from Nigerians includes the new government trying its best to reproduce the type of “corruption free” Nigeria that we will witness under the Generals regime, we urge our papa to use the ICPC and EFCC to probe fishy government agents especially the Incumbent one to recover our stolen funds.

We would also love for our naira to have worth again especially against the dollar, we want a minimum and maximum price legislation for goods (e.g: the sale of pure water sachet shouldn’t exceed N5), so as to control the inflation and make sure the poor can afford basic necessities.

Our half baked graduates are also out there needing jobs, there should be job creation and every graduated employed into the task of nation building, our universities have to be fortified with “High quality flour and new Oven sets” to start making properly baked graduates.

We also want good roads, as Papa’s record of producing infrastructure speaks for him, blackouts should be a thing of the past, better renumeration for workers. Medical services should be close to free as the poor man won’t come to a Government hospital if he could afford a private one.

We need better security as over 120,000 barrels of crude oil is stolen by pirates everyday on our shores, the menace of Boko Haram has to be ended. Petrol and other fuel prices should be reduced as the price per barrel has dropped in international markets.

Students and youth should be empowered through loans and Agriculture and metallurgy has to be given face, The government should also strive to have a federal bank that gives interest free or friendly loans.

Atm interbank charges should be abolished and all those national and NURTW thugs on the roads (popularly called omo garage) be removed.

We can go on and on about what the nation needs but we pray God to give Papa the grace to take this nation forward, and also remind him that our votes now count – come four years from now; if there is no change in the nation there will be another change in government.

God bless Nigeria; Long live her citizens, God bless papa, Sai Buhari.
