'College Dropout' to Ph.D.: Kanye West receives honorary doctorate in Chicago

Kanye West was awarded with an honorary doctorate degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago at its annual commencement yesterday May 11th, 2015.

The rapper went to the ceremony alone as his wife, Kim Kardashian-West and their daughter, North West were in Brazil for the launch of her new clothing collection.

Kim Kardashian who was absent for his award ceremony has since taken to her instagram account to congratulate her husband.
